‘Tardeo Interactivo’ means friends, music, mapping, visuals, technology and interaction. It is about unifying everything that we are passionate about and letting it flow. It’s about having a good time knowing when it starts but not when it ends.
The word ‘tardeo’ refers to the activity of going out for tapas or drinks in the afternoon in Spain. This project is inspired by that concept, creating a random evening where you meet other people while listening to music and enjoying a drink. However, in this case an interactive digital component is added, digital scenarios where the attendees are the main protagonists. These digital scenarios become the main element to enhance joy and fun, encouraging the imaginative participation of the attendees and generating a more human immersive experience.
To carry out this project, we created various interactive scenes where we used a Kinect device to capture the movement of the participants in real time. This motion capture serves as the main input to develop the previously designed visual content. The final result is projected on a large wall in front of the participants.
