L’Aurora

L'Aurora _ L’Aurora is an interactive Live painting installation that plays with the concept of symbiosis to immerse visitors in a complex ecosystem; an illustrated wetland in real time. Accompanied by generative audio effects that evoke environmental destruction, this experience symbolizes the disruption and degradation that occur when the balance and interaction between species is disturbed. However, as the interaction progresses, a small light comes on at the end, revealing a seed emerging in an artificial environment. This seed becomes a symbol of hope, representing the opportunity to repair the damage caused to nature through individual awareness. Quijote Project

Quijote Project _ Quijote Project is the most ambitious work of the electronic music duo MAIGUAL, an audiovisual project where Cervantes’ work is reinterpreted through techno music and live visuals. We were asked to create a visual fantasy trip through the Cervantes’ mind, based on the experiences, concerns, traumas, and motivations he experienced in his life, to represent a universe where the planets and galaxies were represented by the most iconic characters from the book. Phantasmagoryka

Phantasmagoryka _ This videomapping and facemapping show is a terrifying and fascinating experience that combines audiovisual technology with the magic of Halloween night. Participants are plunged into a world of terror and surprise as walls come to life and faces transform into nightmarish creatures. By projecting images and special effects onto the walls, an immersive visual narrative is created that transports audiences into a dark and mysterious realm, all synchronized with eerie music. But the most impressive thing is facemapping, a technique that allows the actors’ faces to be transformed into authentic living masks thanks to digital makeup in real time. With skill, precision and creativity he draws on faces, creating hellish creatures with realistic details and terrifying expressions. Phantasmagoryka is the perfect show to celebrate Halloween thanks to the combination of lights, visuals, sounds and a large dose of makeup for the darkest night of the year. Transhuman by Sara Sambola

Transhuman _ Video clip of the single ‘Transhuman’ by the neo-flamenco singer Sara Sambola and her band, who fuse electronic music with popular flamenco lyrics and songs. This project aims to show, through a series of images projected on Sara’s face, the evolution and interaction between time, technology and the human being. It explores how this interaction approaches the creation of a possible fusion between man and machine, both on a bodily and mental level. This project focuses on the use of facemapping, a videomapping technique in which the face serves as a canvas for projection. We take care of the script, editing, artistic direction and visual production of this project. We use our own visual content for facemapping, as well as some background elements, and we also include some royalty-free videos. Mappillage

Mappillage _ Facemapping, real-time visuals and interaction in an exceptional immersive show: Mappillage is the evolution of traditional facemapping. Facemapping is a type of videomapping that consists of projecting visual content onto the face, turning it into a canvas. However, this project includes additional features. In addition to the main projector used to project illustrations onto the faces of the participants, a second projector is used to show the facemapping process in real time. This is recorded and captured for processing via a computer, where it is combined with other visual elements and projected onto a surface in front of the participants, providing the opportunity to witness the artistic process of illustration live. Mappillage also features a series of interactive scenes during the pre-facemapping intervals, as the illustrator prepares, with the aim of enlivening the performance and allowing attendees to feel free before having to stand still for facemapping. These scenes and their visual content were designed taking into account the light and the images captured by the video camera. Depending on the amount and quality of light, the images adapt in real time, which means that colors and textures change accordingly. In this project, we took care of designing all the visual content, including the facemapping illustrations and interactive scenes, as well as the interaction design of the installation. This project was presented for the first time at the Festes de la Mercè 2019 in Barcelona, in the Parc de la Ciutadella, and was open to people of all ages, without restrictions. Holovortex

HOLOVORTEX _ Holovortex is an idea by video artist Paco Gramaje, who has worked for years in the field of videomapping, specifically dancemapping. The main objective of this installation is to bring the two-dimensional projections into a three-dimensional environment for performative shows. The installation consists mainly of a metal structure in the shape of a cone on which a tulle is placed that surrounds its entire surface. In the upper ring of the structure, 4 projectors are strategically located to cover the entire projection surface. Holovortex is an installation designed for the performing arts, offering 360 visual content for shows or events that seek an immersive experience for the audience. In its first occasion, it was applied in the field of dance, although it can also be easily adapted to live music or theater. Our contribution to the project included the creation of the script and storyboard for the show, the search for music, and the design and development of all visual content. Holovortex saw the light of day for the first time in Porto on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the arrival of the Groz-Beckert company in Portugal.
